Preconditions in Kenya and Tanzania: At the superficial level, Kenya and Tanzania’s linear history and cultural development is strikingly similar. Both countries became independent from the United Kingdom in the early 1960s. The ethnic distributions of the two countries, as well as their populations, are almost exactly the same, with a high concentration of Bantu-speaking peoples.
